10 MONTHS!!!!!
Do you guys enjoy talking about poop? If no, please feel free to click away from this blog.
...pause...
Still here? OK. you were warned.
Well, this past month, Vince contracted a nasty nasty stomach virus. Grandma and Grandpa Tu graciously offered to babysit the boy, while mama and papa enjoyed a quiet night out with some friends. Well, when we got home, it had already started. Vince had thrown up twice, and had been crying incessantly. Grandma was scared that she had fed Vince too much corn. oh, but if that was only the case.
That was just the start of a very very long week for mom and pop. Vince couldn't eat anything without throwing up a little while later. and whatever he did manage to get down......well that came out the other side. and it came out fast. and wet. and smelly. and leaked out of the diaper. a few times a day. for about 3 days.
It was gross. the poop was so loose that it would leak out and soak into his shorts or pants, or whatever we would put him in to keep the poop from reaching the bed/carpet/sofa. Which unfortunately it did a few times. Sometimes, the poop would leak upwards (??? yeah I don't even know how thats possible) and soak into his shirt. just disgusting.
and since he was just feeling bad in general, he just wanted to be held all the time. especially at night when humans are supposed to sleep.
It took a good 3-4 days for the diarrhea to somewhat subside. and another 7 days or so for Vince to totally get back to normal.
As of today, Vince is doing fine. He is horribly active now. He's moving around so much, that we've dedicated our back room as his play prison. Because a) there's tons of room to crawl around and play and not much "stuff" to break and b) it's easy to barricade the entry way so he can't escape.
In other news, the Jumalons & Tu's took a joint weekend trip to Austin. It was quiet and relaxing. Pictures below.
That's all I've got for now. Hopefully you won't have to read about poop for a while. Later
