The Birthday
So I had this great idea for an entry. I was gonna steal yet another one of Bill Simmon's pet articles and write an hour-by-hour recap of the days events. Well after a rough draft, I quickly realized why Bill Simmon's writes for a living, and I'm an accountant. So I'll kinda let the pictures tell the story on this one (like most of you would probably prefer anyway)
Our plan was to basically have 2 parties. An early one for the smallest of Vince's guests (to keep them from getting trampled), and a second one in the early afternoon for bigger guests. A few weeks earlier Mama went crazy and bought some baby pools for the backyard. Hot summer day, cool water, cold beers. Hmmmm...seems like that would work.
Well except for
1) Not so hot summer day meant that the water was freezing cold later in the afternoon for the bigger kids
2) Our backyard was waterlogged for a couple of days
3) we almost ran out of toilet paper.
Despite all that, I think everyone had a good time. Vince got to splash around a bit, and smashed some cake in his face. I ate too much. Someone had a tooth pulled.
Good times. good times.
